Attractions and activities in the nearby area

The surroundings of the apartment offers many different activities and attractions. On the following pages, we gathered some ideas of what to see and do.

RTC Krvavec

The recreation and tourist center of Krvavec offers a full range of activities and it is considered one of the best-maintained and visited ski resorts in Slovenia.

In addition to the ski resort and its winter attractions, some of the most popular activities in the other half of year are adrenaline park, bike park, fairy tale – adventure trails for children, paragliding, many easier and also more difficult mountain hiking trails.

Cycling and hiking

In the surroundings, you will find many beautiful cycling routes of different lengths and difficulty. To choose the most suitable route for you we recommend that you plan and adjust the route for yourself on the following website: https://plan2bike.com/

For hiking enthusiasts, we suggest a hike to at least one of the many surrounding hills. This are some suggestions for you: Sveti Jošt, Šmarjetna gora, Sveti Jakob, Štefanja gora. All of the above also have huts on the top where you can get something to eat and drink.

If you want a short relaxing walk in picturesque nature, we suggest you visit one of the following, less-touristy known pearls in the area.

Strmol castle

The castle is located in the neighbouring municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem and offers a rich history. All about its history, you can learn on a guided tour. The surroundings of the castle are perfect for a nice walk and for the ones that have ”a sweet tooth ” we recommend that you stop by Strmol Café and try a scoop of excellent homemade Strmol ice cream or some of their delicious Strmol desserts.
